Biography

Francesco Giuntini was born on 4 October 1946 in Lari, in the province of Pisa, to parents from Livorno. He grew up in Livorno and studied in Pisa, where he graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering.

During his university years he also studied art in Livorno and portrait drawing in a private studio in Florence. After graduating, he married and moved to Genoa for work reasons.

In Genoa, where the Giuntini family grew with the arrival of two children, he spent ten years that correspond to the first phase of his artistic production.

When he returned to Livorno in 1985, a second phase began, marked by exhibitions and personal successes, starting with his participation in the Tuscan painters’ group “Giovanni March”.

Today Giuntini continues to paint, ranging from marine, lake and countryside landscapes to portraiture and hand‑tinted (watercolored) lithographs.
